About Wes

Wesley Hynd graduated from Carleton University's School of Journalism in 2009 with a Minor in Religion. In 2009-10, Wes spent nine months working with university students in Panama and other countries in Latin America. Currently, Wes continues to work as a mentor for university students in Canada.
Wes has contributed to a variety of journalism projects. In 2007, Wes spent a summer working with KAOS Radio in his hometown of Peterborough, ON. In 2008-09, Wes contributed two articles to the bi-monthly Canadian publication ChristianWeek. In 2009, Wes' radio documentary on violence in hockey was featured on the radio program CFRB Presents in Toronto. During his work in Panama in 2009-10, Wes also blogged about his experiences for MyKawartha.com and the community newspaper Peterborough This Week.
Wes is passionate about helping others to really think about their lives and their world, and what it all really means. He loves delving into the deeper questions in life. Wes founded WakeUpWorld! in 2010 with the goal of helping others to connect the dots between the everyday happenings of their world and the real significance of their lives.
